I have had to postpone the usual business trip to Las Vegas this month. The casino representatives sounded all too pleased about that. I confess I am ill at ease with leaving them to their own devices for too long. One or two higher ranking shatei have been increasingly bold since my grandfather's death, going so far as to make important decisions without my final approval. Then they send me roses and sweet words. Fools. I am only insulted.
It is not necessary for me to investigate personally of course but it has been too long since I've made an official appearance and I sense that they need to be reminded of exactly who is in charge.
All the more inconvenient that I have had to postpone it. But I would hardly like to leave Japan when such business that rumors suggest is going on. I sincerely hope that they are only that. Rumors.
The consequences will not be pretty if they are more than rumors.
